New Link: Manchester United eyeing another A-List attacking talent

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be keen on a move for Wolfsburg and Germany forward Julian Draxler according to reports in England.

The Sun, among several others, report:

Julian Draxler to Manchester United: Jose Mourinho’s United eyeing move for Draxler — less than a year after he made £25m switch to Wolfsburg

The 22-year-old winger has already played 22 times for Germany is an almost guaranteed starter for the world champions.

He’s fast, direct and has a lovely first touch – he’s been strongly linked to Arsenal, among others, in the past but rarely to Manchester United.

Draxler scored 9 in 34 in his first season at Wolfsburg and has an overall record of 39 goals in 204 games in The Bundesliga.

He may be another example of Jose Mourinho planning for the long-term at Manchester United as the board would obviously like.

You have to imagine that this would be a difficult deal to complete. First off, Wolfsburg won’t want to let the player leave after just one year.

And if he does go there will surely be other clubs interested in his services – clubs who can also offer the young international Champions League football next season.

But if United can do a deal they would be getting a quick, intelligent and adaptable player who could cause havoc anywhere across the front line or in the number 10 position.

Any fee would be good value for a player who looks set to ply his trade at the top level for another ten years at least.

Here are some of his better moments for club and country. Manchester United supporters: a good use of the kitty?
