Manchester United: Fee Agreed for Winger

Manchester United look as if they have finally brought the Old Trafford career of Adnan Januzaj to an end by agreeing a fee for the winger.

British media outlet, The Daily Mail, reports:

Real Sociedad have agreed a £10million fee with Manchester United for Adnan Januzaj, which could end the winger’s tumultuous time at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old winger-cum-attacking midfielder was one of the few bright spots when he exploded onto the scene during the troubled tenure of David Moyes.

In the season 2013/2014 he terrorised defences up and down the Premier League and looked as if he was a dead cert for superstardom at Manchester United.

But as with so many other young stars, his career was stunted after such a bright start and he never quite made the grade at Manchester United. He moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan but didn’t make too much of impact there either and came back from that loan spell early.

Since then he’s been at Sunderland on loan and, while he played many games for the Black Cats this season, he didn’t really strike a chord in the north-east either.

Perhaps the Spanish league with all its technical elegance will be a better place for the young man to thrive. Still only 22 he has his entire career ahead of him and he needs to knuckle down now if he wants to improve his status as a top-level football player.

Let’s take a look at him in action for United.

Manchester United fans – are you sad to see him leave or is it the right time to sell him and a good price for such a waning talent?
