Manchester United fans are surely about to suffer another summer of fierce rumour about player arrivals and departures as Ed Woodward attempts to find the right balance in the squad.
And the names are already flying about way before the summer window officially opens on July 1st.
One of the more interesting rumours comes from The Sun on Sunday who state that Manchester United could be after another French forward. They say:
Manchester United transfer news: Antoine Griezmann is a £65million target for Red Devils
At 25 Griezmann has exploded in the last couple of years and is now at the top of his game. He started as a winger but has become the main striker for Atletico this season with 30 goals in 50 games for the club.
He’s a perfect modern forward in that he can comfortably occupy any of the forward positions. He’s fast, two-footed and a prolific scorer but provides for others brilliantly too.
Expect a big summer from him at EURO 2016.
Another British tabloid, The Daily Star, reckons that Manchester United will make a move for one of The Premier League’s outstanding performers this year:
Man United ready stunning £30m Premier League raid on Sir Alex Ferguson’s say-so
The 25-year-old France midfielder has come from relative obscurity to become an almost nailed-on starter for France this summer. It’s been a meteoric rise to prominence but Kante deserves every bit of credit for his all-action and indefatigable performances for Leicester this season – without him their incredible run would surely not have been possible.
Manchester United could use some more energy in the engine room and both players would have to be seen as good investments for the club.
