Manchester United: Mkhitaryan reveals favourite Premier League player

When Henrikh Mkhitaryan had an absolute shocker against Manchester City in September, and then went missing for months, many wondered whether he’d have a career at Manchester United at all.

After a long wait and a few promising cameo appearances, he finally gave some wonderful displays over the last weeks and hit decisive goals in his lost two games. Unfortunately he was injured in a heavy challenge from a Tottenham player at the weekend but will only be out for a couple of weeks.

This shouldn’t ruin the momentum of a player who looks as if he is starting to tick all of the boxes as a modern attacker. He’s quick, incisive and loves to pass the ball early. Even good Premier League players like to take a touch before moving the ball on, but the Armenian loves that first touch game.

So it’s easy to see why his favourite Premier League player is Thierry Henry. The Daily Mirror quotes him as saying:

“I always supported Thierry Henry when he was playing in Arsenal,” declared Mkhitaryan, speaking to the Premier League.

“He was one of my favourite players because that time I was also a striker, as a child. Then I became a midfielder.”

The 27-year-old winger has so far made 12 appearances for Manchester United and scored two goals. But by far his best form has come in the last couple of weeks and TFF feels that we are just about to start seeing the best of the Armenian.

Let’s see some of his best moments for Manchester United so far. United fans: are we looking at the play of the season for the club??
