Manchester United: No Formal Offers Yet

In truth it’s difficult to imagine James Rodriguez making such a big move at this stage of the season.

We have seen with Julian Draxler’s move that big deals do happen in January but TFF feels that players and managers alike are concerned about whether players can have a big impact when signed half way through a season.

As for Manchester United, they signed Juan Mata in January 2014 and he has gone on to have a steady carer at the club.

If the right player comes along they won’t be scared to pull out their cash in their bid to return to the very top table of European football.

And The Daily Mail reports that there have been no formal offers for James Rodriguez as yet:

Real Madrid yet to receive any offers for wantaway star James Rodriguez

Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus are said to be interested in the player

Manchester United now find themselves just two points off the Champions League pace after six straight league wins and a victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford in their next league fixture will take them within two points of the Merseysiders.

So we can’t completely rule out another big offensive signing if Manchester United and Jose Mourinho feel that the player can make a difference to their Champions League surge.

And Rodriguez is a player of inordinate talent. He may not have enjoyed the consistency of his first year at Real Madrid over the last couple of seasons but he is a maestro with the ball at his feet and can do things on the field of play which defy physics.

Manchester United fans: is there any possibility of getting this playmaker in in January?
