The next major signing to leave Manchester United?

Reports in the British media over the weekend suggest that Manchester United could offload Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton this summer.

The Mirror states:

Everton target Morgan Schneiderlin transfer from Manchester United to kick off the Ronald Koeman era

Morgan Schneiderlin has had what is commonly described in football parlance as a ‘shocker’ since he signed for Manchester United in summer 2015 for up to £27m.

He’s gone from being one of the first players on the Southampton and France team sheets to being excluded from the squad for EURO 2016.

Like Matteo Darmian you could see the confidence draining out of Schneiderlin’s game after a promising start to his Manchester United career.

He did make 39 appearances for Manchester United in his debut season, with one goal scored, but many of those were off the bench and Louis van Gaal clearly lost faith in the Frenchman as the season progressed.

And he would be the first to admit that his performances weren’t great as he misplaced too many passes and didn’t impose himself at all well on the United midfield.

Everton are said to be readying a £20m move for the player who did so much for Ronaldo Koeman when they were together on the south coast.

But we still think that this one could go either way. We believe that Schneiderlin’s departure depends on who United sign this summer and that Bastian Schweinsteiger is in far more immediate danger of the boot.

Scheniderlin, on the other hand, has excellent mobility and the sort of work rate that may still appeal to Mourinho.

TFF believes that a move to Everton is a 50/50 right now.
