Medical being planned at Manchester United – report

Manchester United are rarely able to complete their transfer deals without a lot of hype first and that certainly seems to be the case with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 34-year-old forward, who is currently competing EURO 2016 with Sweden, has been the subject of intense speculation about a move to Manchester United over the last few weeks and months.

The tournament is France has ostensibly got in the way of Manchester United’s plans but it appears that the deal will be concluded soon after the tournament ends according to latest reports in England.

Sky Sports reports:

Man Utd are making plans for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to undertake a medical in Manchester after Euro 2016

The 34-year-old titan had a quiet game against The Republic of Ireland in Sweden’s first game of EURO 2016 but he did provide a vital assist for the equaliser.

Manchester United have some really exciting prospects in the forward line but the addition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic will bring the guarantee of goals and physical presence to a team which is desperately trying to get back into the top four and have a serious title tilt next season with their new manager Jose Mourinho.

Zlatan is set to leave PSG this summer as his contract expires so he will be a free-agent come July and, despite the hold up, Manchester United still look most likely to capitalise.
