Manchester United to confirm 2nd signing early next week?

A report in the British media today suggests that Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Alvaro Morata – a player who manager Jose Mourinho has apparently made his top transfer target for the summer.

British media outlet, The Daily Mirror, reports:

Manchester United could complete £65million Alvaro Morata swoop by early next week

The 24-year-old scored 20 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions last season even though he wasn’t a regular starter in La Liga. He made 14 starts in the league competition but still managed to bag a load of goals and he looks like a complete striker to TFF. Perhaps lacking in real pace but apart from that is a great hold-up player, has fantastic first touch and certainly knows where the goal is.

He ticks all the boxes for modern centre forward. He may lack genuine pace but apart from that he looks like the sort of player who is going to score 20 goals for Manchester United each season and be a great focal point for the attack.

TFF believes that Manchester United will need to put some more genuine pace and creativity around him to get the most out of his goalscoring abilities. So the spending won’t and there.

Manchester United confirmed the signing of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica yesterday and they may well follow it up with a quickfire signing of the Spaniard.

Let’s take a look at him doing what he does best.

Manchester United fans – is this a perfect signing or a slightly underwhelming transfer considering the other players who are being linked to the club this summer?
