He Wants To Move: Manchester United trying to ‘resolve the situation’ on major transfer according to agent

As suggested by TFF earlier this week, it seems that the idea of Henrikh Mkhitaryan joining Manchester United this summer isn’t just a fanciful notion.

When reports first surfaced about a possible move earlier this week they were met with a stone wall from Borussia Dortmund officials who said there was no chance of the player leaving this summer, despite having just over a year left on his contract.

But Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent, Mino Raiola, has waded into the public arena again to suggest that it’s an ongoing and live situation.

He is quoted in The Daily Mail as saying:

‘He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation,’

‘We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.’

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been on fire for the last few years and hit 11 goals and provided 20 assists last season for Dortmund from a number 10 position or on the flank.

He reminds us of a more powerful version of Arsenal hero Robert Pires. He’s slick, fast and has wonderful ball control and a football brain. He basically opens up defences and scores goals too.

At 27 he’s ripe for a big move and we at TFF can see this Manchester United deal going ahead.

With Zlatan playing at number 9 and Martial and Rashford either side, the Armenian international could be a perfect fit at number ten with Wayne Rooney in the deeper role that he has been playing so well for club and country over the last few months.

But Rooney’s days as a number 9 and number 10 look to be coming to an end and it’s clear to see that he is more involved in games from the centre of the park rather than chasing shadows for 90 minutes up top.
