Manchester United: More transfer twists on Griezmann and Mbappe

British media outlet, Sky Sports, has reported this afternoon that deals for Antoine Greizmann and Kylian Mbappe are less advanced than some media outlets have been suggesting.

The highly respected British media outlet, The Guardian, ran a story on Wednesday that stated Manchester United have had a 72m GBP bid for Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe rejected as the club holds out for closer to 100m.

But Sky Sports understands that no such bid has gone in for the brilliant 18-year-old forward who has scored 24 goals in 32 games this season for the French outfit.

They say:

United are also being linked with Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe, but we understand that they have not had a £72m bid rejected.

Reports in France say that Monaco don’t want to sell the player this summer, and would like to keep him for at least another season.

Other media outlets were reporting that French international striker Antoine Griezmann, who has long been linked with a move to Manchester United, had agreed personal terms after his club all but went out of the Champions League to Real Madrid, losing 3-0 on Wednesday night in El Bernabeu.

But again Sky Sports have scotched those rumours by implying that other clubs are interested and no such deal has been agreed.

They write:

Manchester United would be interested in signing Antoine Griezmann, but they have not agreed personal terms, according to Sky sources.

It’s been reported that a deal has been reached for a summer transfer.

Manchester united are desperately searching for more goals in their line up after a season in which Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 28 goals but hasn’t been particularly helped by others around him. With the Swede suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in the last few weeks the need for a proven marksman is even greater.

TFF believes that Manchester United will end the summer with at least one of Mbappe, Griezmann and Andrea Belotti in the ranks.
