The Next Martial? Manchester United in for prolific forward – reports

Manchester United are in a battle royal with fierce cross-city rivals Manchester City for the services of Gabriel Jesus, writes a well-placed source.

The MEN reports:

Manchester United and Man City battle for Brazil sensation Gabriel Jesus – reports

This one is admittedly about fourth hand news but MEN sees fit to report it so we felt it worth a mention.

Jose Mourinho has always had one eye on South America and brought the likes of Kenedy to Chelsea whilst always being a fan of Oscar.

Gabriel Jesus is just 19 years of age but he is already built like a man and has been prolific this season with 13 goals in just 23 games for Palmeiras in Brazil. He’s also hit 8 goals in just 10 international games for the Brazil U20 and U23 sides.

Jesus is 5ft 9in with strong legs and a generally good build. He doesn’t look as if he would take too long to adapt to the physicality of The Premier League.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be acutely aware of the scoring record of his new club last season and he will surely add at least one more striker this summer to improve the firepower at Old Trafford.

TFF feels that The Right One is going to stock up with players before deciding who to get rid of in this transfer window – but we believe that there could be a raft of departures in the second half of the summer, providing major targets join.

But Manchester United fans love a young signing of great promise and the idea of another player of Anthony Martial’s profile joining the club – a pacy, incisive forward who loves to run with the ball – would bring uncontrollable moisture to many a Manc mouth.

Here are some of the brilliant youngster’s better moments for club and country.
