Another poor decision? Manchester United will allow one of their better players to leave this summer according to report

What? Talk of yet another overhaul in terms of playing staff at Manchester United? Isn’t that precisely what they have been doing for the last two years?

Well, according to reports, Manchester United haven’t yet overhauled themselves out and are preparing for a another summer of revolving doors, whoever is at the helm.

And The Mirror reports that another questionable decision has been made about who to keep and who to sell:

‘Manchester United plot transfer of Marcos Rojo to begin summer overhaul — whoever their manager is’

‘Reds Devils will listen to offers for Argentina international who can play left-back or centre-half as part of a clear-out to make room for some big-money buys’

This would be a terrible decision. At 26 Rojo has had dreadful luck with injuries at Manchester United and hasn’t had anything like a decent run in the team with only 39 appearances over the space of two seasons.

But when he has had a run in the team he has begun to look like a perfect defender. He’s an athlete first and foremost. He’s strong and resilient and still looks fresh after 90 minutes. Indeed, he would surely be exactly the sort of defender that Jose Mourinho would want in his squad if he took over at Manchester United.

Rojo is also adaptable and may still turn out to be a better centre-back with his pace, power and no-nonense style.

Basically he is a chiseled Argentinian defender who is a regular for his country and United could certainly use him going forward.

So we would take this story with a pinch of salt until we see who is going to be managing the team next season.
