Manchester United willing to let another midfielder leave the club – Premier League rival interested

Manchester United’s young hopeful Andreas Pereira will be allowed to leave the club on loan this season, according to reports.

The Daily Mail reports:

Middlesbrough look into possible deal for Andreas Pereira with Manchester United willing to sanction loan move to the Riverside

The 20-year-old Brazil U23 international, who was left out of the Olympics squad, scored against Wigan in preseason and looked sharp.

But TFF believes that he is yet to knit the elements of his game together and hasn’t shown the sort of consistency required for a regular role in the first team squad.

So a loan move to Middlesbrough would be great experience for him and he could expect many more minutes of gametime.

But the report suggests that the player would prefer to stay at Manchester United and attempt to force his way into the reckoning.

After his performance at Wigan in pre-season he said:

‘I want to show the manager, to show the people around the club, to show the players that I can help this season,’ Pereira said last month.

‘It’s very important for me. I want to show this in training and just keep working hard.

‘I’m very happy I scored in the Wigan game, it was not a bad strike at all. I can play in other positions but I enjoyed that role a lot.’

Pereira moved to Manchester United in 2011 but his appearances in the first XI have been very limited. He’s managed 11 games and scored once over the last two seasons and got nine games under Louis van Gaal last term.

But this is a player who definitely needs more games elsewhere before he can stake a claim to a powerful Manchester United attacking line up which is currently adorned with celebrated stars of the game.
