Star returns – Liverpool’s probable 4-2-3-1 XI vs Red Star Belgrade

Liverpool Crest

Liverpool defeated French giants Paris Saint-Germain in their opening Champions League contest at Anfield. However, the Reds were beaten by Napoli away from home in the second game.

Next up, the Merseysiders will collide at home against bottom of the group Red Star Belgrade and Klopp’s men should be considered favorites to earn all three points.

As far as Liverpool’s team news is concerned, Klopp started his B side against Huddersfield at the weekend and we can expect key players to return to the starting lineup tomorrow.

Star playmaker Sadio Mane has recovered from his hand injury and is available to start (Liverpool Echo) for the Reds. We can expect the Senegalese international and Firmino to return to the starting XI.

Shaqiri was impressive vs the Terriers and he should retain his place in the lineup. The Swiss international should start in the hole behind Firmino. Salah should start on the right wing.

In the center of the park, Wijnaldum should return to partner James Milner. As far as the back line is concerned, Alexander-Arnold should return to start in the right back position. Gomez will probably move back into the central defense to partner Van Dijk and Robertson should start in the left back role in front of Brazilian shot stopper Alisson.

Here is Liverpool’s probable 4-2-3-1 XI vs Red Star Belgrade.
