The 7 most spectacular Premier League transfer rumours this summer

It appears as if we could be about to witness the biggest transfer window in football history. With more money swishing around the pockets of club owners than ever the world record transfer could be broken yet again after Paul Pogba moved to Manchester United last summer for around 90m GBP.

TFF looks at some of the biggest transfer rumours of the summer and the players who could break that record transfer fee.

Kylian Mbappe

The French international teenager is the sensation of the football world right now and it seems as if all of the elite clubs in the world are vying for his signature. He currently plies his trade at Monaco and seems very happy there but the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Paris St. Germain and other big hitters in world football seem determined to prise him away from the club.

He looks very much like a young Thierry Henry as he cuts in from the left hand side and unleashes unstoppable shots as well as dribbling with the ball beautifully. Mbappe has every chance of becoming the best player in the world in years to come.

Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal appear to be showing some real ambition in the transfer market this summer but speculation continues to rumble on about the future of the brilliant Chilean international Alexis Sanchez. There have been rumours about his departure for some time and lots of the top teams would be interested in bringing him to their club if the opportunity presented itself. Paris Saint Germain is confident of signing Alexis Sanchez.

Virgil van Dijk

The case of Virgil van Dijk is perfectly representative of how football transfer fees have got ridiculous over the last few years. He’s a brilliant defender and has years of top level football ahead of him but when numbers like £60 million are being quoted for a central defender you know things have gone pretty crazy. Liverpool is on pole position for signing Virgil van Dijk.

Nemanja Matic

The signing of Bakayoko by Chelsea could mean the departure of the Nemanja Matic to Manchester United for another huge sum – this looks like it could be a £40 million deal. The 28-year-old Serbia international is a solid and powerful footballer who Jose Mourinho clearly likes.

Fabinho

A superb Brazilian defender who can also play in midfield. This is another product of the brilliant Monaco team which surprised Europe this season. He could also be a Manchester United player come the start of next term.

Gareth Bale

Another player who has long been linked with Manchester United and would be a sensational signing for the club. There are big question marks about whether Manchester United could sign the player and whether Real Madrid would want to sell. But it would be one of the transfers of the summer.

David de Gea

Probably the best keeper in the world and a player who Real Madrid have courted for years. Perhaps a huge swap deal could be on the cards with Bale and De Gea.
