Arsene Wenger is a true gentleman but also a quietly competitive type – you need to be to manage in The Premier League.
And even one so composed can get flustered, as Wenger did when Arsenal played Chelsea on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.
Noone quite gets under the Arsenal manager’s skin quite like the Chelsea boss. And, let’s face it, anyone but a Chelsea fan could see how annoying Mourinho can be when he so desires.
Wenger is yet to mastermind an Arsenal win against Chelsea side governed by Mourinho – a record which goes back 12 matches. And, whatever else Arsenal achieve this season, beating Chelsea at The Emirates on Saturday 25th April 2015 will surely be amongst the Frenchman’s top priorities for this season.
Perhaps he will start resting players now. Because, after the hand bags on the touchline at Stamford Bridge and the gleeful Mourinho smile which accompanied yet another Chelsea victory, Wenger surely wants this more than anything.
Arsenal fans: can you finally beat Chelsea when you meet at The Emirates?
