Pogba calls Manchester United legend ‘Uncle Pat’ in fascinating interview ahead of Southampton game

In an interview to be aired on Sky Sports tonight, Manchester United’s world record recruit Paul Pogba talks about the excitement of making his second ‘debut’ for the club this weekend.

SEAMLESS INTEGRATION

Jose Mourinho said on Thursday that Pogba’s integration to the squad has been almost seamless because of the Frenchman’s first stint at the club and how well he knows so many of the staff.

“He has adapted really easily because he knows the club, knows everybody. He has no need to have time to adapt, but he’ll need time to build his condition and his understanding of how the team plays and how he’ll fit in with that.”

PATRICE

And he obviously feels very close to Patrice Evra, who played with him at Manchester United and Juventus.

Pogba refers to Evra as ‘Uncle Pat’ in a video where he also does an impression of Zlatan. The two superstar arrivals are clearly getting on well and Pogba refers to him in glowing terms.

SIR ALEX

Asked by Thierry Henry if there is any antipathy between him and Sir Alex Ferguson after his acrimonious departure from the club in 2012, he was at pains to point out that he has nothing but respect for the manager and that he left the club purely because he felt ready to play.

Overall the Manchester United midfielder seems very happy, relaxed and excited about the prospect of playing under the lights for United at Old Trafford for the first time since his record transfer.
