All Parties Want Quick Deal: Manchester United record transfer latest and the fallback option – report

Latest reports suggest that everyone involved in the deal to take Paul Pogba to Manchester United now want a quick resolution to the transfer either way.

The Manchester Evening News stated:

it is understood all parties are thought to want to conclude the deal quickly and do not want to drag the saga out all summer.

They also state that:

Pogba’s France teammate Blaise Matuidi is United’s fallback option should Pogba decide against returning to England’s north-west

Manchester United fans were mainly disbelieving when we first mooted the idea of Paul Pogba coming back to the club this summer.

Money wasn’t so much of an issue but Real Madrid seemed the more likely destination for the 23-year-old.

But as the summer has progressed the noises coming from the press continue to suggest that Manchester United and Jose Mourinho may get their wish.

The fact that the midfielder had an largely unremarkable EURO 2016 and failed to spark his France side as many had hoped, may have played in the hands of the Old Trafford club. And while Real Madrid’s interest may have cooled due to Pogba’s recent form United seem hellbent on bringing him to the club.

And, as we stated at the start of the summer, this steely desire may give Manchester United the edge in getting a deal over the line.

So is he worth £100m plus? Perhaps a more important and relevant question is will he improve Manchester United? The answer to that one is a categoric yes and with him in the engine room this season Manchester United will be an altogether different prospect.

We would go as far as to say that Manchester United plus Pogba will win the title at the first time of asking for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.
