Agent thinks superstar better suited to Manchester United according to top source

We have already seen the allure of Jose Mourinho as Manchester United manager this summer. Perhaps deals for Zlatan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan would not have come off for a team not in The Champions League, had The Special One not been pulling the strings.

And his next big transfer assignment seems ever more like the challenge to bring Paul Pogba to the club this summer.

The Guardian reports that, as TFF suspected, Real Madrid are the frontrunners for the signature of the brilliant French international this summer.

And the player is also said to prefer a move to Los Blancos as his first choice.

That’s the bad news as far as United fans are concerned.

But what could be critical here is not only Mourinho’s powers of persuasion but the idea that Pogba’s heavily influential agent, Mino Raiola, is said by The Guardian to believe that the player would be better suited to Manchester United. They say:

Raiola, it is understood, believes Pogba may be better suited by a return to United rather than a move to Real.

Lest we forget Sir Alex Ferguson bemoaned the strong influence of the same agent when he perhaps guided the player towards the Old Trafford exit door in the first place.

Ferguson said of Raiola:

“He and I were like oil and water. From then on our goose was cooked because Raiola had been able to ingratiate himself with Paul and his family and the player signed with Juventus.”

Those same powers may end up benefiting Manchester United this time around.

Even if he stayed at United for 4 years he would still not be in his prime at 27. And we believe that the club would be firmly in his heart after 4 successful seasons at the club.

Manchester Untied fans shouldn’t get there hoped too high about this one. Real Madrid does still seem like the more likely option.

But we shouldn’t underestimate the power of The Special One and Mino Raiola in these negotiations.
