Media reports suggest that German outfit RB Leipzig has told any clubs interested in acquiring the services of young Ivorian winger Yan Diomande that they will need to cough up £112m to sign him this summer.

Premier League Liverpool has reportedly seen a bid of around £80m plus £20m in add-ons turned down by Die Roten Bullen.

Highly in demand this summer

The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international made a big impression in his debut campaign in the German top-flight last season, scoring 12 goals and creating eight after a summer move from Spanish club Leganes.

His form and ability to take on players earned him his place at the World Cup with the Ivory Coast, and also caught the attention of many of European football’s biggest clubs.

Liverpool has emerged as the favourite to sign the 19-year-old, although French giants PSG have also been credited with an interest in the dynamic youngster.

However, PSG would have to let go of some of their players if they were to make a move for Diomande. That scenario is about to play out, as the South Korean international Kang-in Lee is in talks over a switch to Atletico Madrid.

The move would not only free up some transfer funds but also create space in the Parisians’ squad.

Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Salah

The Reds are looking for an attacking replacement for club legend Mohamed Salah, who has left the club as a free agent. It will be difficult for the men from Merseyside to replace the Egyptian international.

Liverpool have already signed Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna for a fee of around £40m.

However, the signing of Diomande would be a slightly more exciting one for supporters, as he is no doubt one of the most exciting young players in the world game.
