Real Madrid’s next major summer signing?

Real Madrid have kept the gunpowder fairly dry this summer as Zinedine Zidane feels that his squad is already difficult to improve.

But TFF has spoken about the potential need to strengthen Real Madrid’s number 10 position and reports in Spain have suggested that the club are keen on a Premier League midfielder.

Sport.es reports that Real Madrid may be interested in Chelsea and ex-Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas and are considering an offer.

The 29-year-old found himself benched in Chelsea’s opening game of The Premier League season as new coach Antonio Conte opted for Oscar and a second defensive midfielder instead of the Spaniard.

Cesc started his Blues career brilliantly but his second season wasn’t as spectacular and, at 29, the legs do appear to have lost some of their running power.

But Fabregas, who has played 105 times for Spain, is still a wonderful technician and TFF thinks that he would be the perfect man to exploit the running power of Bale, Ronaldo and Marcelo in the wide areas.

James Rodriguez continues to be linked with a move and Isco never seems to nail down his position long-term. So perhaps we should pay attention to this rumour.

We think that Real Madrid would be a better squad with Fabregas in it so we shall keep our ears to the ground on this one.

Let’s see some of his best moments. Real Madrid fans: would you be excited to see Cesc at the club or do you already have better players for the attacking midfield?
