Real Madrid: Deal Agreed for brilliant forward

Real Madrid fans will, largely, be delighted to hear that the Spanish media is reporting that Gareth Bale has signed a new deal with the club which will keep him at El Bernabeu until 2021.

The Welsh wizard took time to get the Real Madrid fans on side and even last season he was roundly booed by some supporters. Indeed, there still a contingent of Madrid supporters that TFF consorts with who aren’t convinced that Gareth Bale is the man to lead them forward.

But he had a magnificent EURO 2016 and he looks to us as if he is coming to the absolute peak of his powers right now. He bagged two goals for Real Madrid at the weekend and, at 27, looks ever more central to the team.

Marca states:

Real Madrid’s hierarchy have worked hard to ensure that Gareth Bale will continue to wear the all white strip for the foreseeable future, the Welshman signing on until 2021 and another five years with Los Blancos.

The deal reportedly see him earn 10m Euros per year, net, and that will put him on a par with other huge Real Madrid stars like Sergio Ramos and not far behind Cristiano Ronaldo himself.

Madrid haven’t been as bullish in the transfer market this summer. But TFF agrees with Zinedine Zidane that the squad is difficult to improve with at least two quality players for each position.

And keeping Bale and Ronaldo, who is set to sign a new deal in September according to the same report, will keep the team as competitive as ever.

Perhaps we may also see more major business from Los Blancos if James Rodriguez moves on in the next week.

Bale has scored 60 goals in just 124 games for Madrid over three seasons.
