Report: Arsenal scout exciting duo yet again

Arsenal made some impressive signings in the summer months but there remains a feeling that if they want to finally end their title hoodoo they will have to push the boat out in the next window.

With the future of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger up in the air he might just have made his last signing for the club. But latest reports suggest that two players have once more been scouted by the club as they look ahead to the summer transfer market.

British media outlet, The Sun, reports:

Arsenal are lining up a summer swoop for Napoli duo Lorenzo Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam. and Faouzi Ghoulam as the club send scouts yet again to watch the pair in action

Lorenzo Insigne

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder and winger signed for Napoli in 2009 but went out on loan for two seasons before starting to make a mark at the club in 2012. He has since risen to prominence and has hit 9 goals in just 33 games this season to add to his tally of 13 in 42 last term. He’s a technically gifted player who reads the game beautifully. Could he replace Santi Cazorla?

Faouzi Ghoulam

With Nacho Monreal now reaching veteran status it is natural to assume that Arsenal will be on the lookout for a new, dynamic left-back before long. This 26-year-old Algeria international with 5 goals in just 23 appearances for his country, is a really pacy and penetrative wide man who loves to get forward and would offer the same sort of speed from defence as Hector Bellerin does on the other side.

Arsenal fans: would these two motor straight into the first team?
