Report: Barcelona agree major transfer deal

Barcelona haven’t messed around in the transfer window if latest reports are to be believed.

Because, before the January ventana is even abierto, the grand old club have seemingly agreed a deal for a superb young talent.

Spanish sports media outlet, Sport.es, reports:

Cancelo será jugador del FC Barcelona

or

Cancelo will be a Barca player

A deal of around 30m Euros is said to be in place for the Valencia man.

The 22-year-old Portugal international has had a remarkable start to his international career. The right back has scored three goals in his first four appearances for his country which gives a good indication of his style of play and why Barcelona were so keen to tie him down.

He’s fast, athletic and probably prefers the attacking part of the game to his defensive duties.

He went on loan to Valencia from Benfica in 2014/15 and made 13 appearances before a permanent move the following year. From that point on he became a crucial member of the team and played every time he was fit last season, with 39 appearances and three goals for the Spanish outfit.

He’s a wonderful young talent and could be the long-term answer to Dani Alves who had such a great career at the club.

Barcelona fans: the perfect addition at this point or would you rather the Barca board where looking at offensive reinforcements to challenge for La Liga in the second half of the season?
