Manchester United are 8th in the Premier League, seven points behind league leaders and rivals Manchester City. The Red Devils need to step up big time if they are to have any chance of getting back into the title race.
As far as the transfer news is concerned, the Old Trafford club are once again linked with Welsh international and Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey.
The 27-year-old midfielder will be out of contract next summer and has the option to agree a pre-contract with any club in January.
According to London Evening Standard, Man Utd and Liverpool are lining up moves to sign Ramsey for a cut price in the winter transfer window.
Wages:
Ramsey earns around £110,000-a-week at the moment and he would be looking for a massive pay-rise to move the new club.
As per ES, raising the above mentioned wages will be no problem for Manchester United, who have the resources to make him a huge offer to secure signing.
Man Utd’s midfield:
Carrick retired after last season but United were able to hold on to Fellaini. They splashed the cash to lure Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shakhtar in the summer. Moreover, they also have players like Matic, Herrera, Pereira and record signing Pogba in the department.
In all fairness, United lack quality depth and someone like Ramsey will be a top addition. The former Cardiff City player can even be productive in the attacking third. So far, in 6 league starts this season, he has directly contributed in 4 goals.
