Report – Man Utd could move to sign £53million+ playmaker

Mourinho Angry

Manchester United need to improve their team in January and reports are linking them with a young Brazilian playmaker.

According to ESPN sources, the Red Devils are looking at Gremio playmaker Everton Soares ahead of a potential move.

ESPN have claimed that the 22-year-old winger is valued at around £30million and has a huge release clause of just over 60 million euros (£53million) in his current contract.

Jose Mourinho sold Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal and lured Alexis Sanchez from them in the last winter transfer window.

The Chilean international was a superstar at the Emirates but since completing his move to Old Trafford, he has been average. Therefore, United must offload the former Barcelona man and must sign a quality replacement.

Last season, Soares scored 5 goals in 8 appearances in the Copa Libertadoes. Overall, in all competitions, he directly contributed in 18 goals (15 goals and 3 assists) in 29 starts.

Capable of playing at either flank, the Samba starlet would be quality addition if United can get his signing done. Soares made his senior international debut back in September and so far, he has made two appearances for the Selecao.

In your opinion, should Mourinho splash the cash to secure his signing in the winter window?
