Report: Real Madrid want to sign powerhouse

Real Madrid are in another comparative slump and, again, it appears to be partly self-inflicted.

Because the decision to sack Carlo Ancelotti, just a year after he won La Decima, is one which is seemingly coming back to haunt them.

Zinedine Zidane is now at the helm and we wonder how long a notoriously short-tempered Real Madrid board will keep him there. If he is still manager at the start of next season he will be doing well.

But a respected media source reports that Madrid are already lining up their major transfer targets for the summer.

In response to recent speculation about Lukaku’s future Italian sports media outlet Gazetta World says:

“Moving to Juve could be a great move but watch out for PSG and Real Madrid.”

The 22-year-old has been on fire for Everton, scoring 61 in 117 appearances for the club, but he recently stated his desire to play in The Champions League next term in a what some will see as a clear come and get me plea:

“That is the next step for me. I’m 23 next summer and I think it would be nice to play in the Champions League from next season.”

With lots of reported interest from several other mammoth clubs this could be one of the big transfers of the summer with his current club not keen to sell.

But we would suggest that the player is absolutely ideal for The Premier League so perhaps he is more likely to stay in England than to move to Real Madrid.

Lukaku has scored 12 goals in 43 caps for Belgium.
