Arjen Robben could make a shock return to the Premier League should Louis van Gaal be confirmed as the new Manchester United manager.
Louis van Gaal signed Robben for Bayern Munich in 2009 for a reported 25m Euros
Every time he turns out for Bayern Munchen against Manchester United he seems to inflict terminal damage.
And while he hasn’t specifically mentioned a desire to join the Old Trafford club he has praised potential new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to the hilt this week:
‘There is something about going into a Van Gaal dressing room and training sessions – there is a positive vibe and a warmth to the place.
‘He creates a special environment for his players – and Manchester United will be very fortunate to have him as their coach.’
Robben will be one of the most important players in Van Gaal’s Dutch squad this summer and might just be persuaded to join the veteran manager for an exciting new challenge.
