Rumour: Does Manchester United’s Best Player want out?

Manchester United have been playing well of late but TFF retains the feeling that they won’t be truly frightening again until they managed to fully integrate Anthony Martial into the side on a weekly basis.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho seems apprehensive about throwing talented youngsters like Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford into the side and has instead used them sparingly.

But, even at the tender age of 21, Martial was Manchester United’s stand out player last season and we believe that he remains the best player at the club.

His regular absence from match day squads has exasperated the fans and, if reports are to be believed, the player too.

The latest report comes from British media outlet, Sky Sports, which passes this morsel of rumour our way:

Manchester United winger Antony Martial has asked to move on loan away from Manchester United but the club have blocked his attempts, according to the Daily Express.

And The Express itself says:

JOSE MOURINHO will again resist the attempts of Anthony Martial’s representatives to secure a loan move for the striker away from Manchester United.

Martial hit 17 goals in 46 games for Manchester United in his debut season, including that wonderful debut goal against bitter rivals Liverpool.

But he hasn’t been allowed to gain any momentum this season with many of his 21 appearances coming off the bench and being stagnated. He has rarely started two games in a row and his frustration is obvious.

There is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market and Manchester United fans will be watching on with worried expressions until this one is sorted out.

Martial essentially needs to start more games because, on form, he is one of the truly world class players in the Manchester United squad.
