It’s silly season once more in the transfer market and Manchester United will again adorn the back pages for most of the summer.
They have been linked with players left, right and centre again over the last day and TFF decants the myth from the substance.
Serge Aurier
The powerful PSG full back has been linked to Manchester United a lot over the last week and British media outlet, The Express, passes on the rumour that the player could turn down a move to Barcelona to be united with Jose at Old Trafford.
TFF thinks that this is precisely the sort of player that Jose would be interested in – a great athlete with a powerful physique.
Alvaro Morata
Morata has been linked with a move to the Premier League more than once and it’s now the turn of Manchester United to get a mention.
Reports in Spain suggest that Jose Mourinho has made a call to his old bosses at Real Madrid to discuss a move for the intelligent 24-year-old who has scored at a really good rate for Los Blancos this season.
TFF thinks that Morata lacks pace but could be an excellent part of Manchester United’s attacking weaponry next season.
Carlos Soler
The 20-year-old apparently has a 25m GBP release clause and Jose is said to be interested in triggering it. You can read more on that one by clicking here.
Kyle Walker
The Telegraph states that Manchester United are among a clutch of top clubs who are keen to sign the 26-year-old flyer.
He’s having his best season at Tottenham and is now a firm number one choice at club level too.
But he still makes the odd mistake and perhaps Jose Mourinho will look for a slightly less adventurous full back to succeed Antonio Valencia next season.
Manchester United fans: would he get into the first team ahead of Marcus Rashford?
