Reports in France: Long-Term target closing in on Chelsea move

We often state that there is usually no smoke without fire in the transfer market and this deal looks like it has substance based on the sheer volume of reports on the subject.

Chelsea will look to further strengthen their grip on the league next season and that could mean adding even more muscle to the engine room. And there can be few better options out there right now than this superb Frenchman.

British media outlet, Sky Sports News, reports:

Long-term Chelsea target Timoue Bakayoko is closing in on a move to the Premier League champions, according to L’Equipe.

Apparently the two clubs are close to agreeing a number on the transfer fee and that could mean that the player becomes a blue sooner rather than later.

He really does look as if he has the calibre to play for any team in Europe and can also do several important jobs.

He is a brilliant shield for the defence in the mould of N’Golo Kante with his athleticism and power. But Bakayoko also loves to get forward and hits the ball very cleanly indeed.

He’s scored 5 goals in 92 games for Monaco but we think that there is more to come in terms of his goal ratio. And his excellent performances haven’t gone unnoticed in France where he may his debut for the national side earlier this year.

Chelsea will be even more scary and hard to break down with him in the ranks and TFF fully expects this one to go ahead now.
