Tottenham make breakthrough on major transfer – report

Tottenham have reportedly agreed a fee to bring the talented French winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to the club.

Sky Sports reported today:

We understand the deal to take Georges-Kevin Nkoudou from Marseille to Tottenham has been agreed.

The fee for the 21-year-old is said to be £10.9m.

While he has yet to play for the senior French international team Nkoudou, who was born in Versailles, has played at every youth level for his country and has 6 caps and 1 goal for the U21s.

The diminutive 5ft 8in winger played 40 times for Nantes between 2013-2015 before moving to Marseille at the beggining of last season. But such has been his form that Tottenham have seemingly decided to snap him up before other teams get their dirty mitts on his talent.

Tottenham have done some interesting business this summer but TFF always gauges signings by their likelihood to stroll straight into the first eleven.

While Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen are solid signings, neither can be confident of being immediately considered first-choice picks and the same could be said of Nkoudou. He will have to fight it out with the likes of Erik Lamela, Nacer Chadli, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min, Moussa Dembele and Christian Eriksen for the creative positions behind Harry Kane.

Nkoudou has scored 13 goals in 81 club games in his formative career in France.

Let’s see him in action. Tottenham fans: will he get into the first XI?

  1. First of all simon nkoudou could come straight in and take lamella place for all we know he could be a Beast his stats were better last year I love how we all praise mopo for the job he does then we second guess every signing he makes or doesn’t make if u don’t believe this guy knows what he’s doing u haven’t been paying attention obviously he’s not gonna hit a home run with every single signing but alderweild and wimmer have been amazing trippier has been a more than capable rotational player and yedlin is now charging to challenge him for his spot wanayama has looked excellent this far and son has been serviceable in just one year more importantly is the progression of our youth they all have made amazing progress josh omaugh Ryan mason deli ali Harry Kane Eric dier these guys were all on the bench or youth players when he came in now they are superstars even lamella who was about to get run out of town had now be one a top 15 forward in the league we turned dier 2 mil ali 7 mil and Kane valued at jus 6 mil 2 years ago into a trip worth over 200 mil euro so please can we jus give this man the benefit of the doubt I think he has earned at the very least a chance to pick his players and some time to mild them before we judge them come on spurs nation we finally have something to be optimistic about and yet here we are whining about who we aren’t getting and not being happy thSt our super stars are staying and that they are happy about it Bayern showed interest in dier and he committed to is that’s something that never happened in the past you can bet your a$$ there have been calls about Kane and deli as well and levy won’t even entertain the idea so let’s enjoy these young studs as they grow into there prime and just insert players that can grow into great role players our starting 11 can line up a cross from anyone and expect to win and that’s something that hadn’t been said since I’ve started watching 10 years ago Coys

    • it would be so much easier to understand your post if you used a full stop every now and again

    • Seriously, you think people can read that without punctuation? I’m no grammar nazi but when you fail to punctuate your long post reads as one incoherent statement. You went to all that effort to reply to the author yet no one will read your response as it’s a headache waiting to happen. What’s the point man, seriously… punctuate. I would have happily read your views but it’s a torture to read.

  2. I understood the post just fine. I’ll take an enthusiastic rambling about Spurs any day over whiny grammar bitches. Maybe shut up and talk football. COYS!!!
