Tottenham haven’t been as impressive as they were last season and may be one of the more likely investors in the January market.
Victor Janssen and Moussa Sissoko are at the start of their Tottenham careers but they haven’t impressed at all so far and that has left most of the strain on the current squad.
One of the players who was mentioned regularly with regards to a move to White Hart Lane in the summer was Wilfried Zaha and his name has popped up again in the latest transfer rumours. The Metro writes:
Tottenham plan January bid for £25m-rated Wilfried Zaha in January
The England international who has made two appearances for his country since his debut in 2012 was strongly linked to a move too Tottenham in the last transfer window but his club clearly didn’t want to let him go for anything but a premium price.
Tottenham have Eric Lamela as their conventional winger but apart from that they could certainly use some more pace on the flanks.
TFF has never been the biggest admirer of Zaha. He’s a great athlete and has that wonderful pace to burn but we wonder whether he has the consistency of end product to be a really top player.
The 24-year-old has played 94 games and scored 12 goals since he returned to Crystal Palace from a doomed spell at Manchester United three years ago.
