Tottenham look set to finally get their man

After a couple of weeks of haggling Tottenham look ready to bite the bullet and pay the asking price for Dutch striker Vincent Janssen, according to a report in the British media.

The Daily Mail claims:

Tottenham ready to meet £17m asking price for AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen

TFF thinks that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino could become a victim of his own success in relation to transfers.

He’s done such good business over the last few years, with Tottenham and Southampton, that other clubs are bound to pay attention to exactly these sorts of Spurs targets – that is to say, relatively undiscovered gems who could do a job in The Premier League and save clubs millions.

So perhaps this notion is reflected in Tottenham relenting on the fee. If they don’t snap him up soon others will surely nee happy to pay the going rate for a player who has almost as many goals as games to his name over the last year.

Vincent Janssen was the leading goal scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie last season with 27 goals.

We see this one coming to a head pretty quickly for a player who TFF thinks will be an understudy to Harry Kane next season.

Here are some of his best moments. Tottenham fans: can he play in the same line up as Harry?
