Fee Agreed: Tottenham poised to sign prolific forward – report

Tottenham are said to be hopeful of concluding a deal for the prolific young Dutch striker Vincent Janssen according to latest reports.

The Mirror states that a fee has been negotiated and the deal could be done soon:

Tottenham are hoping to complete the £12million signing of AZ Alkmaar scoring sensation Vincent Janssen.

Mirror Sport understands Spurs have now spoken to 21-year-old Janssen, having already agreed a fee for him with his club.

21-year-old Vincent Janssen from Hosch in The Netherlands stands at 5ft 11in and currently wears the number 18 shirt at Louis van Gaal’s old club AZ Alkmaar.

He forced his way into the AZ team way ahead of schedule last year after signing from tiny Almere City and scored 27 goals in just 34 games. This form also propelled him to the Dutch international team. And his sensational scoring form continued there with 3 goals in his first 5 internationals for an ailing Holland side.

Tottenham will start with Harry Kane up top next season but there is some uncertainty surrounding the future of Son Heung-min who only signed for the club last term.

So some more back up would definitely be required for a Tottenham side who will be in The Champions League come September. While Janssen may not be the full solution, he will be another exciting young player through the door at Spurs.

Here are some of his best moments for the club.
