Transfers: Music to the ears of Arsenal fans?

Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign another centre back but many Gunners fans feel that it is up front where the real investment is needed.

And, to that end, Arsene Wenger has suggested that he’s looking at options.

He said:

‘At the moment I have not too many attacking options….’

‘let’s not forget that there’s still few players at home’

But we still look outside to find one more’

So who could that be?

Alexandre Lacazette

Rumours have a been rife about a move for the player and his club, Lyon, confirmed that Arsenal had made a bid which was quickly rejected.

The French club seem intent on keeping their leading scorer and perhaps only a transfer request from the player himself will force this move. But don’t rule that out.

TFF believes that Lacazette is precisely what Arsenal need – a powerful, pacy and explosive player who could unlock the tightest of stalemates at the top level.

Mauro Icardi

The 23-year-old Inter Milan striker has been prolific in Serie A with 52 goals in 102 games.

He’s another who really fits the bill as a great alternative to Olivier Giroud – someone who trades more on pace than physical presence.

But Inter don’t want to sell either.

Mario Mandzukic

A player that has often been linked to a move to The Premier League and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the consistent Croatian international. He’s got 24 goals in 68 games for his country and he’s a quality player. But, in our opinion, he’s too similar to Olivier Giroud and Arsenal need something different at this stage, if they really want to push for what will surely be the most fiercely contested title in years.
