Why Tottenham will win the league – A Title Timeline

Every neutral wants Leicester to win the league and with just 4 games to go a 5 point cushion seems almost insurmountable.

But could fate be conspiring against Leicester in the final throes of the season?

Consider three potentially crucial elements:

Jamie Vardy ban

Leicester’s team ethic has been one of the most important elements in their success this season. And they have the likes of Mahrez (17) and Okazaki (6) and even Leonardo Ulloa available to offer goal threat in the next two games which, based on Diego Costa’s punishment for a similar misconduct charge last month, will be the likely period of Vardy’s ban.

But Vardy has been such a spearhead for Leicester this season and it’s hard to imagine that they won’t suffer a little without his pace and predatory instincts.

Tottenham’s form

If one team is playing like champions elect right now it’s Tottenham. Stoke may have little to play for in reality but no team has turned them over in the way that Tottenham did on Monday evening. In Kane and Alli, Spurs arguably possess the two form players in the league.

Tottenham are in their best form of the season and look as if they will beat every team that they play.
