Wilfired Bony looks set for Manchester City according to widespread reports

When Manchester City signed Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid we felt that they had got one of the deals of the year. That proved to be the case as the Argentinian went on to become a blistering and integral striker for City.

And we also believe that, if they do bring Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony to the club, they will have done themselves a similarly good service.

He lacks that extra yard of pace of Aguero but, apart from that, he’s among the best strikers that The Premier League has to offer. That is high praise indeed and some might say a really unrealistic assessment of the forward.

But he’s done a marvellous job at Swansea, scoring 34 goals in 70 games for the club. And we believe that he is the sort of player who can move up a notch with a better service that he will get at Manchester City.

When you look at Bony you see a very powerful player indeed. But that doesn’t tell the whole story. Because he’s got fantastic ball control and a really subtle first touch. He also has that ice cold demeanour of a top striker and we think that he will score plenty of goals for Manchester City, in tandem with Sergio Aguero, who can slot in behind at number 10, when fit.

With injuries mounting at the club Manchester City really needed to buy an extra striker to bolster their title push and we feel they will be doing exceptionally good business if they do complete a deal for Bony.
