Manchester United fans are perhaps getting more confident about the prospect of Antoine Greizmann joining the club this summer.
The superb striker has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the last 6 months and latest reports suggest that the interest is mutual.
British media outlet, The Independent, reports:
Intermediaries representing Griezmann and United have been talking for several months, and the Euro 2016 top scorer is said to be extremely keen on the move, with the chance to link up with international teammate Paul Pogba only making it more enticing.
Griezmann perhaps offers what Manchester United have lacked – at least until the arrival of Zlatan in the summer – that is to say a world class finisher who can make a difference even in the biggest of games.
Griezmann isn’t a bulldozer of a centre forward like Didier Drogba. He is much more of a silent assassin in the mould of Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer.
The French international makes every touch count and is utterly deadly in and around the box. He’s a technician of the highest order. A player who deals in precision and not power and who makes the ball work for him.
TFF has already opined that this could be a player who scores a goal a game for Manchester United in the coming seasons. A front line including the pace of Griezmann, Martial and Mkhitaryan would truly be something to behold.
The Atletico Madrid star has been a revelation over the last few years, since his move from the left into the centre the attack. 14 goals in 39 games for France is a decent record. But at club level he has excelled with 69 in just 132 games for Madrid over the last two and a half seasons.
