{"id":5573,"date":"2016-08-21T22:00:39","date_gmt":"2016-08-21T20:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefootballfreak.com\/?p=5573"},"modified":"2021-08-18T15:09:20","modified_gmt":"2021-08-18T14:09:20","slug":"manchester-united-want-jose-fonte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefootballfreak.com\/manchester-united-want-jose-fonte\/","title":{"rendered":"Respected Source: Manchester United want another summer signing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester United are keen to bring Southampton defender Jose Fonte to Old Trafford this summer according the highly respected British media outlet, The Guardian.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old has been strongly linked with a move north over the last two weeks and it appears ever more likely that there is serious substance to the rumour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/football\/2016\/aug\/20\/manchester-united-jose-mourinho-southampton-jose-fonte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">They say<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United\u2019s Jos\u00e9 Mourinho wants to buy Southampton\u2019s Jos\u00e9 Fonte<\/p>\n<p>The theory is that, while Manchester United have strength in depth in the central defensive positions they lack real experience there, with Chris Smalling the oldest of the bunch at 26.<\/p>\n<p>Fonte is something of a late developer who didn&#8217;t make his debut for Portugal until 2014.
