{"id":6499,"date":"2016-12-06T04:31:48","date_gmt":"2016-12-06T02:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefootballfreak.com\/?p=6499"},"modified":"2021-08-18T15:08:56","modified_gmt":"2021-08-18T14:08:56","slug":"bernardo-silva-caught-attention-manchester-united-boss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefootballfreak.com\/bernardo-silva-caught-attention-manchester-united-boss\/","title":{"rendered":"22-year-old has caught the eye of Manchester United manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be keen on the services of Portugal international Bernardo Silva, according to The Daily Mail.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old midfielder has been at Monaco since 2014 and has firmly established himself in the first team with 109 appearances and a very impressive 22 goals in that time.<\/p>\n<p>With Manchester United in need of a successor to Michael Carrick in the long-term, Silva&#8217;s name has been mentioned of late.<\/p>\n<p>But the report states that the player has no intention of leaving the French club just yet.<\/p>\n<p>He is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/football\/article-4000934\/Latest-transfer-news-Chelsea-Man-United-Liverpool-updates-Arsenal-target-Julian-Draxler-reaffirms-desire-leave.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quoted<\/a> as saying:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;They&#8217;re the club that has enabled me to play at this level,&#8217; <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The ambition of players is of course to play in Spain or England one day, but for the moment, I feel very good at Monaco.&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So while he is paying lip service to Monaco it seems to us that he could well be persuaded to join Manchester United if they made a serious move.<\/p>\n<p>Silva has progressed so quickly that he has already made ten appearances for the Portugal senior team and scored once so far.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s quick and technically gifted.
