Jose Mourinho bids to fend off Chinese financial clout and sign Pepe from Real Madrid<\/strong><\/p>\nThe report states that Manchester United won’t even try to sign the player in January but wait until next summer to make a move.<\/p>\n
Pepe has obviously been playing at the top level for a long time but he’s never been one of TFF’s favorite players. He’s a double Champions League winner with Real Madrid but there’s not enough guile in his game and he’s arguably not the fairest of competitors. <\/p>\n
And, at his age, he is still going to cost huge money in wages if Manchester United sign him. <\/p>\n
Furthermore the centre of defence has been brilliant over the last few months with players like Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly doing the business.<\/p>\n
These guys have a much better age profile and haven’t cost the earth so we think that Pepe would be a poor signing by Manchester United and Jose Mourinho. <\/p>\n
