The MEN points out that Manchester United currently have five players coming into the last 18 months of their contracts. It is open to debate whether they will all be offered new deals during an era of questionable signings at Old Trafford.
Daley Blind
We should make it clear that although the Dutchman has been one of the more successful signings from the Louis van Gaal era, he hasn’t exactly been a superstar.
Blind is, however, a quality player – a steady Eddie who can operate a centre back, at left full back or anchoring the midfield. One of the better performers this season. At 26 he will surely be offered a new deal. STAY
Ander Herrera
A player who has stepped out of the shadows under Jose Mourinho to give some fine displays in the deep midfield role. But questions remain about whether the has the physical capacity to be the partner for Pogba in the biggest games. If a big offer came in Jose may consider it. JURY OUT
Juan Mata
The same goes for Mata. He’s had a couple of excellent games for Manchester United this season but he just as often goes missing and at 28 he probably doesn’t represent the future of United under Mourinho. A decent offer will see him leave. GONE
Marouane Fellaini
Many Manchester United fans would pay to get rid of the Belgian. He drags the quality of games downwards and his presence has coincided with United’s worst form in years. GONE
Luke Shaw
He’s been so unlucky in his time at Manchester United. He simply needs a run of games to show his obvious quality. STAY
