Chelsea out of form ahead of Manchester City clash

Sarri Chelsea

After Match Day 12, Chelsea had 28 points and were just 4 points behind league leaders Manchester City. After three more league games, the Blues find themselves with just 31 points and 10 points behind the Sky Blues.

Last night, against Wolves, Sarri opted to bench regular starters like Jorginho and David Luiz and his team ended up losing the contest despite dominating possession and leading 1-0 at half time.

In my view, the title race is virtually over for the Stamford Bridge club in less than two weeks and now, they must focus on finishing in the top four. Arsenal (5th) are currently level on points with Chelsea and will face relegation threatened Huddersfield at the Emirates on Saturday.

After an 18 game unbeaten run under the new boss, Chelsea have lost two of their last four games in all competitions and next up, they will collide against Manchester City, who have won their last seven league games.

At home, the Blues are unbeaten and will hope to end Manchester City’s brilliant winning run. For that, the out of form players need to step up big time.

Against Wolves, Spanish international Alvaro Morata and Brazilian attacker Willian missed more than a few chances between them. On the other hand, superstar playmaker Eden Hazard, who started the season in brilliant fashion, has failed to find the net in his last 11 games for club and country.

The Belgian star has the quality to single-handedly win games for his team and he needs to be at his best if Chelsea are to have any chance of beating the Citizens.

In your view, who will come out on top?
