Top Source: Manchester United boss in talks to sign 23-year-old with world record fee mooted

The Sunday Telegraph reports that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is in talks to bring France international Paul Pogba back to the club this summer.

Jose Mourinho in talks to sign Paul Pogba – but must break world record fee

TFF still firmly believes that Real Madrid will eventually be successful in their pursuit of the player this summer – especially with French legend Zinedine Zidane at the helm.

But, as the report suggests, money talks and if Manchester United make the best bid then Juventus are unlikely to show favouritism to Madrid.

The 23-year-old midfielder would be a magnificent addition to a Manchester United midfield which lacks charisma and bite. The report suggests that Pogba is likely to become the first £100m footballer as the fee and add-ons could hit 9 figures if a bidding war does ensue.

The France captain has taken some stick for his performances hitherto at EURO 2016. There does appear to be a huge amount of pressure on the shoulders of the young man as the nation looks to him to spearhead the charge for the EURO 2016 trophy.

Manchester United certainly seem to have the money and increasingly appear to have the will to bring the player to Old Trafford.

With Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola widely expected to conclude deals with United for Zlatan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer, the suggestion in the report is that these strong links could go in Manchester United’s favour.

We expect that Raiola would to get a deal done for Pogba this summer – it would surely mean another huge payday for the agent – and he won’t be too bothered where the 23-year-old ends up.

But Real Madrid are still very much in pole position for this one, in the opinion of TFF.
