Arsenal linked with superstar

This transfer rumour has already been circulating for some time. But when such a transfer tale persists we at TFF start to believe that there could be something in it.

Latest reports suggest that Arsenal are tracking another superstar amid concerns that Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez could leave the club when their contracts expire in 18 months.

The Daily Mail reports:

Arsenal target Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus amid fears they will lose Alexis Sanchez over contract dispute

Reus is player out of football’s very top drawer. Only injuries have prevented him from being considered one of the best five footballers on the planet and at 27 he still has time on his side. We were cruelly denied the chance to see him on the world stage when he got injured just before Brazil 2014 but there has been lots more to admire at club level.

He’s a player of pace, poise, goals and a team ethic. He’s two-footed and has a great temperament – a dream player for any side.

He’s scored 9 goals in 29 games for Germany and a remarkable 80 in 171 for Borussia Dortmund – regularly playing as a wide man – in his four and a half seasons at the club.

TFF has said before that we believe Arsenal should be going all out to sign this guy anyway. He could only improve Arsenal’s chances of keeping the other two A-listers and it would be some sight to behold with him Sanchez and Ozil playing together.

Arsenal fans: could you sign a better player right now that Reus, in terms of potentially gettable footballers?
