‘Very probable’ he will leave: Agent discussing Manchester United signing of powerhouse as club resigned to departure – report

While the EURO 2016 nations fight it out amongst themselves newly crowned Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho continues to prowl around in the shadows (and on luxury yachts in Portugal), with his phone perennially glued to his ear, as he looks to mastermind his next great empire.

And one of the latest names to be strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer is Swiss international striker Breel Embolo.

Sky reports today:

Jorge Mendes is reportedly negotiating a deal with Manchester United over a possible transfer.

…and they same report quotes Basel’s sporting director Georg Heitz as saying:

“It’s very probable that he’ll leave this summer. He’s played for three seasons in our first team and he’s just 19-year-old.”

At just 19 Embolo looks like a fantastic prospect. He’s just a boy in terms of age but he played like a man against France in EURO 2016 this week as he led the line alone.

He’s already played for three seasons at Basel which is a great indicator of how early he developed physically and TFF doesn’t think he would have too many problems assimilating his very physical style at Manchester United in The Premier League.

Indeed, an early introduction to England could be the making of him in the same way as Cristiano Ronaldo definitely benefited from the rough and tumble of the British league.

Breel Embolo has already played 13 times for Switzerland (1 goal) and 86 times for Basel with 30 goals scored.

Here are some of his highlights. Manchester United supporters: could he do the business in the first team straight away or is he too raw to lead the line at United next season?
