Spree Alert: Chelsea linked with no less than 5 top signings

Chelsea have been linked with no less than five players in the latest news cycle as their new manager Antonio Conte is clearly looking to make a mark early on at Stamford Bridge.

We will start with highly respected British media outlet The Guardian who report that Chelsea are interested in signing Alvaro Morata from Juventus and also looking to bring Romelu Lukaku back from Everton.

They say:

Chelsea are to step up their attempts to sign Álvaro Morata from Juventus and hope to make progress this week before the start of the European Championship.

There remains the possibility Chelsea will seek to restore Lukaku to their ranks,

Morata has been absolutely sensational at Juventus after securing a loan move from Real Madrid. There is the possibility that the Spanish club will trigger his release clause before selling him on potentially to Chelsea.

Whether Chelsea would be interested in both Lukaku and Morata remains to be seen.

In other reports there is less positive news on the potential signings of Roma pair Antonio Rudiger and Radja Nainggolan as The London Evening Standard prints a riposte from the Roma manager who suggests that neither will be leaving the club this summer:

Radja Nainggolan criticises English weather as Roma insist Antonio Rudiger will not be sold to Blues

Chelsea have seemingly been handed a blow in their attempt to secure the signatures of two transfer targets after Roma insisted they have no intention of selling Radja Nainggolan or Antonio Rudiger this summer.

Finally Chelsea are said to be keen on bringing the superb N’Golo Kante to the club, as The Mirror states:

Chelsea ready to TREBLE transfer target N’Golo Kante’s Leicester wage as they battle PSG for his signature

The supposed fee is said to be in the region of £20m and it is hard to imagine a player who has shot to prominence over the last year and is now likely to start for France at EURO 2016 still being a Leicester player next season.

Here are some of his best moments. Chelsea fans: is he a good fit for the club?
