Chelsea could be heading for transfer trouble as some rumours in the press suggest that Real Madrid may make a move for the brilliant Eden Hazard if they decide to part company with the mercurial James Rodriguez.
Real Madrid haven’t been the biggest spenders over the last few years and they may decide that, with Cristiano Ronaldo reaching veteran status, they need another Galactico for the offensive positions.
British media outlet, Talksport, passes this one on from Spanish radio station Cope:
Real Madrid will swoop for Chelsea star Eden Hazard – if they sell James Rodriguez and Isco.
After a season in which he simply didn’t fire, Hazard has been imperious this season and one of the main catalysts in Chelsea’s title charge with 11 goals in 30 games for the Blues.
At 26 he has already played 76 times for Belgium and scored 17 goals.
Chelsea seems like the place to be right now and Hazard just be happy with his team and the contribution that he is making under Antonio Conte.
But the lure of Real Madrid is always strong and it’s easy to imagine that Hazard sees himself going there before the end of his career – especially if fellow countryman Zinedine Zidane remans at the helm.
Isco and Rodriguez have been regularly linked with moves away from Real Madrid and it’s not out of the question that Chelsea may fancy taking one or both of them if they were to sanction a deal.
