Everton: Another transfer decision Wednesday – report

Everton fans will want to play Manchester City every week after what happened at the weekend. What a fantastic score line which Everton fully deserved based on that performance.

What made the day even more special was the fact that Everton’s new signings played so well. Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin, who was signed for £20m in the week, came on after 65 minutes and shored up the midfield with class and energy. And Ademola Lookman came on for the dream debut to score the final goal in a 4-0 win to cap a perfect day for the Toffees.

And the performance of Everton’s new winger perhaps pushed Gerard Deulofeu one more step out of the door.

Because there has been constant speculation about him moving to Italy in the January transfer window and this has drawn very differing responses from Everton fans.

TFF very much believes that he should stay at the club and can offer real penetration if he can improve his consistency. There’s no doubting the player’s talent but he hasn’t been able to hit the heights of his early time at Everton over the last 12 months.

British media outlet, The Daily Express, reckons that the decision over his future will be made by Everton in the next 12 hours or so.

They say:

EVERTON will inform AC Milan tomorrow over their decision to keep Gerard Deulofeu or not.

The winger has played 13 times for Everton this season without scoring a goal. His form has certainly tailed off from last season and from his first stint at the club, where he really got bums off seats.

We want to hear from Everton fans about the future of the player. Do you still see him as an important member of the team and squad or would now be a good time to let him go?
